The phenomenal global success of the video game industry necessitates a world-scale Awards Show that honors the talent behind this extraordinary new art form. The Video Game Industry has earned the right to showcase itself on as grand a stage and scale as the Music and Movie industries do. And grand scales they are: ¹the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. values the Academy Awards at around $130 million, not including the marketing value the film studios and networks receive through their use of the
awards to publicize their nominated/winning productions; a valuable marketing and revenue stream not currently available to the Video Game Industry.
Since its conception in 2006, The Elans have stood apart from any other awards show by bestowing accolade to both Animation and Video Gaming, each so very integral to the success of the other. And the Elans have no intention of stopping there: The 3rd Elan Awards 2009 are now preparing for their exciting launch into a fully International Awards Show complete with the addition of Motion Picture Live-Action/Animation, SPFX award categories. The 3rd Annual Elan Awards 2009 have already acquired a great partnership this year with the Seven Group.
