Industry Event
 
Goal: To Provide the industry with a full day event that supports and enhances the CAEAA 2007 awards, winners, nominees, and participants. Allowing for Industry Executives the chance to talk with there peers as well as promote product and talent.
NOTE: This is a framework. We may restructure the timing and content of the day.
Currently this how the day will play out.
Location: Sutton Place Hotel
We will open with a greeting to all attendees from the 2007 ELANS celebrity Host as well as the Premiere of BC, Gordon Campbell. The CIV will provide for the CAEAA Event Partners to greet and welcome all guests for the days Event. The CIV will cater a light breakfast, followed by four hours of comfortable and casual networking opportunities with a light lunch catered and bar open in the afternoon. Major ballrooms will be provided for companies to display logo banners brochures and there will be small tables provided for each of or sponsors wishing to have personnel available to distribute corporate or institutional information. A media room will be on hand for one on one interview the media will want to have with corporate spokespeople, Award Nominees, Winners, etc.. Private meeting rooms will be available for groups or individuals. The CIV will provide a Video Games play room for demonstration and play of new product as well as a Animation room for viewing of new animated shows. A 2007 ELANS highlight reel will be looping throughout the venue and the Nominees and Winners of the 2007 ELANS will be on hand for all to meet and talk with..

We are at a milestone year 2007. Some of the best TV and Feature animation is arising from all across the globe. Gaming has taken its next major leap, first with xbox 360, now with PS3 and the revolutionary Nintendo Wii.
 
The Networking Event will provide corporate CEO’s and executives the opportunity to meet and communicate in a relaxed, comfortable and informative atmosphere.
There will be several possible off shoot rooms.

Meeting room: Setup with several tables, this will be a room dedicated for one-on-one meetings away from the clamor of the main room.

A viewing room: This will cycle throughout the day. In here you will see extended promos for all of the nominated works. We will cycle through the nominated short films and we may, if available, have a small screening for the best Animated Feature winner.

A gaming room: This will be a room just for fun. Armed with a large screen and a gaming system we may have something like a Guitar Hero 2 battle room.

As the evening sets in, we will then move to the Vancouver Art Gallery (To be confirmed) to wrap up the 2 day event with a social, networking mixer and art showing.

The art showcased will be high-end production art (concept art, matte paintings, etc) from features or games that have been released within the last 2 years. We recognize that we would never see any of this beautiful artwork unless it came out in a book or was an ‘extra’ in a game that needed to be played then unlocked. At the end of the Evening, some of this beautiful and rare art will be auctioned off for charity.

The Vancouver Art Gallery will be the perfect setting to wrap up our illustrious 2-day Awards Event.

Tickets will be sold to this event. Sponsors of the 2007 Elans are exempt from CIV ticket fees and a host of marketing opportunities are provided through the different levels of sponsorship. There will be a limit for the number of participants to attend. We will also sell VAG mixer tickets separately as our capacity may be larger there. (This will allow for guests of the CIV participants to attend).
